As world-class resorts are the bedrock of Membership Magic, and as the thoughtful refreshment of those resorts is critical to keeping the neighborhood ahead of the curve, Disney Files Magazine is pleased to share the latest refurbishment news and notes in this recurring “Hard Hat Report.”
Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge: The re-imagination of accommodations within Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, showcased in the fall 2022 Disney Files Magazine, is now complete. Inspired by the wonders of nature and magic of Disney, the updates add new layers of “character” to the lodge’s original Disney Vacation Club accommodations. For a closer look at the changes, use your smartphone’s QR code reader to examine the Disney Files Magazine staff’s five favorite new details in a special episode of the award-winning YouTube series “Details We Dig,” available now as part of the Disney Files On Demand playlist.
Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort: This summer, crews will begin refurbishing The Live Oak Lodge lobby at this Member-favorite destination on the South Carolina coast. Keep an eye (Mike Wazowski style) on this “Hard Hat Report” for updates, including notes about planned villa refurbishments.
Disney’s Beach Club Villas: A soft-good refresh is underway at Disney’s Beach Club Villas, with work scheduled to continue through this fall.
Disney’s Vero Beach Resort: Beginning this fall and scheduled to conclude early next year, an accommodations refresh will replace bedding and draperies, reupholster seating and add new, over-the-sofa wall beds to this Treasure Coast retreat.
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas: Beginning this fall and continuing in waves through next spring, crews will install new flooring, update bathrooms, hang new artwork and replace select furniture throughout Disney’s BoardWalk Resort, including its Disney Vacation Club villas.
Lingo lowdown: A “hard-goods” refurbishment can involve anything from furnishings and flooring to fixtures and appliances, while a “soft-goods” refresh generally focuses on linens, drapes, throw pillows and all things, well, soft.
